Limiting Belief #3: Finding a good book designer that I trust is like finding a good auto mechanic. It’s impossible.

It’s true that it is very difficult to find a good book designer and publisher that you can trust, somebody that’ll do a great job. A lot of people go through Fiverr or Upwork, and they find freelancers that’ll do the work for them very cheap. But they also get very cheap service. Most of the time, they get a very low-quality design that only hurts their brand, instead of helping them. In the end, that money is only wasted.

Other people use a vanity press that promises the world and never delivers. The worst part is that these vanity presses charge thousands of dollars, and in the end, they simply rip you off. These companies are dishonest, and they’ll tell you things like, “Hey, we provide Amazon’s Look Inside Feature.” But you know what? Amazon does that automatically for everybody, no matter what. They tell you that they provide a service that is provided automatically by someone else, and they don’t do anything to make that happen. They have a whole bunch of these things that they say they do, that they say that you’re going to receive, but they’re not doing it. They’re not providing it at all.

Another thing they do is publish your book in their accounts, which means everything gets run through them and they have all of the control. They may tell you that you get 100% of your royalties, but what they don’t tell you is that they charge you fees for every book sold, and that’s where they get even more money from you.

Also, although Amazon will show you your book sales almost live, these places will, because everything’s run through them, send you their sales report maybe once a month and usually not until two weeks or a month after the book sales have already been shown. You’re getting data way too little and way too late to do anything about it.

You might be asking, “Why should I trust a company like JETLAUNCH?” I’m not going to tell you to trust us because, hey, it’s my company. Of course, I’m going tell you how great we are. Instead, we have hundreds of testimonials from extremely happy customers and these customers have given us extremely high ratings for customer service, response time, speed, and the quality of our work. Every time we ask them to answer, “How likely are you to recommend us to someone else?”—on a scale of 1–10, they all give us a 10. We let that stand for itself. We let that social proof be the proof that we are who we say we are and that we do what we say we do.

We carry through, and we deliver on our promise. We have had a lot of customers that have come to us after being ripped off by either a freelancer who is really cheap but doesn’t know what they’re doing, or even worse, one of those vanity presses that charge thousands of dollars and then just give you a lousy quality product in the end. These customers have appreciated our work and service even more because they’ve see how bad it can be.
